Rich ‘N’ Pour offers a unique experience within the SUNY system, available exclusively at SUNY Oswego. It provides students the chance to be fully hands-on and learn the ins and outs of running a business.

Being part of this incredible opportunity taught me valuable skills, from how to effectively collaborate with others to maintaining an organized and efficient system for managing workers.

My position

As the Head of Marketing and Sales for the café, I oversaw all aspects of marketing and promotional efforts, ensuring campaigns ran smoothly and aligned with sales goals. I developed and executed promotions, coordinated with the sales team to optimize results, and maintained clear communication with staff about new products, menu items, and collaborative initiatives.

For partnerships and collaborations, I prioritized organization and professionalism to uphold the café’s reputation. This included brainstorming slogans, generating content ideas, researching target audience preferences, and designing campaigns that resonated with both the café’s customers and partner organizations.

Social Media Engagement

During my time overseeing social media and promotions at Rich N Pour, I grew our following by 20% and increased engagement by 5%, contributing to my team becoming the most profitable cohort and driving a 230% increase in sales.
